Surfacing the businesses leading our sustainable future

“For decades, investors have treated doing right by people and the environment, and doing right by returns, as a trade-off. That was just a data problem, not a truth. Once you can verify and correlate what a company is doing, how it treats workers throughout its value chains, and how it is actually performing financially, the trade-off disappears and capital can follow the evidence. With the backing of institutional capital, in collaboration with the global business community, RCX presents a powerful catalyst for guiding sustainable global change.”

RCX Connect Pty Ltd (‘RCX’) is an Australian RegTech company that owns and operates shared AI-powered due diligence infrastructure for global capital markets.

The infrastructure combines artificial intelligence with human-sourced intelligence to convert fragmented regulatory, corporate and civil society data into standardised, auditable and decision-useful investment signals.

RCX’s core thesis is this: conventional ESG models can't surface the best performers. AI can't either – it doesn't have the data. RCX fuses AI's reasoning with verified, correlated ESG and financial performance due diligence profiles of listed and unlisted companies to guide ‘intelligent investment’: mandate alignment modelling; risk-return profiling; capital allocation strategies; performance optimisation; and active monitoring.

This is how capital will be allocated.

RCX’s infrastructure has been in production for four years with its first live due diligence index (‘DDI’) – Human Rights Due Diligence Index (‘HRDDI’) – profiling more than 40,000 corporate reporting entities across Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom.

The infrastructure is 80% generic, with other ESG and financial performance DDIs added via a 20% ‘configuration layer’, guided by the RCX Advisory Board, which brings together index-specific experts from investment, government, civil society and corporates. For each DDI, the Advisory Board defines the information and governance requirements, monitors output and guides continuous improvement.

Correlating sustainability and financial performance data lets investors assess, for the first time, whether the companies leading on sustainability are also delivering financially – an insight most valuable for unlisted companies that lack the visibility public markets provide.

The need for RCX has been reinforced by the Australian Treasury’s 2026 consultation on strengthening the Your Future, Your Super performance test. The consultation examined whether existing benchmarks discourage investment in emerging and alternative assets, including investments that may otherwise be in members’ best financial interests. Submissions from major funds have called for more appropriate benchmarks and greater recognition of long-term, risk-adjusted member outcomes.

Ethical Labour Foundation

RCX’s recurring ‘profit for purpose’ business model is designed to fund the continuous evolution and upscaling of its infrastructure while providing sustainable support to the Ethical Labour Foundation, a separate registered Australian charity that partners with a global network of diverse civil society organisations to translate due diligence intelligence into in-field prevention, worker protection and remediation programs.
